Watch: Sarah Paulson Teases Potential Return to 'American Horror Story'

This is not a drill: Sarah Paulson just dropped a not-so-subtle hint that she will be back as the Scream Queen supreme of the FX anthology "American Horror Story."

Paulson was on "Good Morning America" promoting her new Hulu thriller "Hold Your Breath" when host Robin Roberts asked if she would be appearing in the series again.

Paulson said there was a "big chance" that fans will see her in the series again.

"I've got everything crossed. I would like to do it more than anything," said Paulson. "It's my home. It's where I started."

Paulson has been a muse of sorts for writer, producer, director and showrunner Ryan Murphy since the series first premiered in 2011. He pulls all the strings on his shows, and something tells us he will be more than happy to have Paulson back.

"I got to play, you know, seven different characters in seven years, which as an actor is the most exciting, thrilling thing, and also allows an audience to be ready for anything you're going to do because they're not attached to one thing that you do, specifically," said Paulson. "That has given me a lot of career flexibility."

Paulson's last run on "American Horror Story" was in 2021's "Double Feature," in which she starred as Tuberculosis Karen and Mamie Eisenhower. She has previously appeared in "Asylum" (2012), "Coven" (2013), "Freak Show" (2014), "Hotel" (2015), "Roanoke" (2016), "Cult" (2017), and "Apocalypse" (2018).

"If I could be reunited with Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy, you can pretty much tell me what time I will be there, and I will be there," said Paulson.
