Olympic medal winning diver Tom Daley might be retired, but he is still using his assets for a good cause.
Daley donned a knitted speedo to take part in the alcohol company Malibu's Don't Drink and Dive campaign, striking a pose at Brighton Beach. A partnership with charity Royal Life Saving Society UK, the campaign aims to raise awareness around alcohol-related drowning incidents. According to the campaign, 1 in 14 drowning incidents are alcohol related.
And it seems his trunks were made under his Made With Love knitwear brand.
Daley launched the brand after he was spotted several times knitting his own sweaters on the sidelines at the Olympic Games. Now Daley has grown the brand to include bucket hats, briefs, sliders and sunglasses.
"I've always loved being in the water, but maybe more than most, I also understand its power and the need to respect it to stay safe," said Daley upon revealing the ad. 'I'm proud to be working to get this message out there. Stay safe and 'Don't Drink and Dive'!"
Saving lives and setting pulses racing.
According to Malibu, a survey of 2,000 Brits found as many as 62 percent have gone swimming after drinking. Additionally, one in three say it's ok to have some drinks before getting into the water.
Daley added under a video post on his Instagram of the ad, "26% of all UK drownings are alcohol-related, which is why I'm partnering with @maliburumuk and @rlssuk, to bring you this glam knitted bucket hat with a message you can't miss...because it's literally on my head."
It seems Daley is quickly settling in to his post-Olympics life.
