Eras Tour Dancer Jan Ravnik Celebrates Taylor Swift with New Video

Taylor Swift has taken her Eras Tour to Europe, bringing a massive entourage along with her. It takes some 50 trucks to transport its sets and costumes. Joining her onstage throughout are her 15 back-up dancers, comprised of 9 women and 6 men. And it is the male dancers, the Daily Mail reports, who are getting considerable attention from fans. "They cannot go anywhere without being swooned at by adoring fans," a source close to the dancers told the Mail. "They are recognized almost everywhere they go."

It's reported they also play important roles as Swift's personal confidantes. "While on the road, it is understood that the troupe have become incredibly close with Swift – who often confides in them as friends, especially when it comes to her relationship with Travis Kelce," the Mail said.

"She relies on them, just as much as they rely on her," the insider said. And while such a lengthy tour is no doubt grueling, Swift's dancers tell friends they feel like they have "got the golden ticket" and are on "an adventure of a lifetime."

With Swift making a cool $13.6M per show, she can afford to be generous with her dancers. "'They will each walk away with at least $500,000 from their salaries,' a source says – and that's before you consider the impact of the 'Swift effect' on their own celebrity and future job prospects," the Mail said.

But the breakout dancer from Swift's male contingent is 29-year-old Jan Ravnik, the Slovenian-born hunk, who is often compared with "Red White & Royal Blue" actor Taylor Zakhar Perez. In Slovenia, he was a competitive dancer, winning the prestigious "Best Dancer of Slovenia" award twice – before moving to Los Angeles in 2018 to further pursue his career. In the States, he performed with Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi and DJ Khalid – and was even chosen for Mariah Carey's 2020 "Christmas Special" for Apple TV. Prior to that he appeared with Paula Abdul during her six-month Las Vegas residency. Swift signed him last January to be part of her troupe. The Daily Mail added that Ravnik's current relationship status is unclear. "But while he keeps the most personal details of his private life off social media, he certainly enjoys updating his fast-growing fanbase (543,000 Instagram followers) with behind-the-scenes snaps from the Eras Tour and, of course, plenty of topless selfies."

Ravnik's star rose after a Swiftie posted a TikTok of highlights from his performances over the tour. The viral clip has been seen more than 800,000 times, spawning its own TikTok account called the Jan Ravnik Fan Club, which has amassed more than 10,000 followers.

During the month-long break between the end of the North American Eras tour and the start of the European leg, Ravnik choreographed a lyrical piece to a new Swift song. "'So Long, London' is one of the songs on 'The Tortured Poets Department,' which Swift, 34, dropped last month. In an Instagram Story caption, Ravnik noted that 'So Long, London' is his 'favorite at the moment,'" reported US Weekly.

"In a video shared via Instagram on Sunday, May 5, Ravnik performed the routine with So You Think You Can Dance alum Audrey Case Shell. The pair danced in a warehouse, sporting coordinating white dancewear, as they did partner work and various acrobatic tricks."
