The much-anticipated sequel to Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis' cult classic, "Freaky Friday," is reportedly within our grasp.

Known as "Freaky Friday 2," Entertainment Weekly has reported a few more details surround the film's potential plot. This time around, a grown up Lohan as Anna and Curtis as her mother Tess will reportedly be switching bodies with two teenage girls.

The angle sets the movie up for a new generation of stars to lead the film, and after news broke about the movie, director Nisha Ganatra shared a link to an open casting call for the role of Harper on her Instagram Story.

Harper is described as a "a tomboy with a sharp sense of humor" who's "in a bit of a mood these days because her longtime single mom is set to marry British restaurateur Eric Davis."

Eric also has a 14-year-old daughter, Lily, who does "not see eye to eye" with Harper. And therein lies the plot and potential freakiness, with Anna (Lohan) potentially switching bodies with Harper and Lilly switching with Tess (Curtis).

We know it sounds confusing, but it should all work out on screen, and we can't wait!

According to the casting call, Harper "would like to see things go her way and use her intelligence to stop this marriage from ever happening," and casting notes stress that the performance behind Harper "should be grounded, emotional, and as natural as possible."

A Disney project, the original "Freaky Friday" premiered in 1976 starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster as the mother and daughter. A remake was made in 1995 with Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffman, as well as in 2018 with Heidi Blickenstaff and Cozi Zuehlsdorff.
