Reneé Rapp Lets Fans Know: No Kidding, I'm a Lesbian!

Reneé Rapp let fans know that she's serious when she says she's a lesbian, and she wants to be respected as such.

People Magazine reported that Rapp took to X (formerly Twitter) to declare, "if I say I'm a lesbian I am a lesbian and if someone says they're bi they are bi".

"I've had enough of you witches," Rapp added in the March 25 tweet.

The confusion may stem from Rapp's self-identified status changing recently. "After previously identifying as bisexual, the 'Mean Girls' star has recently been referring to herself as a lesbian in interviews," People Mag noted, "something she doubled down on social media."

The writeup went on to recall an interview from February with The Hollywood Reporter in which the actor stated, "I've only recently started referring to myself as a lesbian, and I've only recently been in a relationship where I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm a lesbian for sure.'"

When she arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party a couple of weeks ago, it was with someone special, the entertainment magazine added, identifying Rapp's girlfriend as "Towa Bird, a Hong Kong-born musician who has been one of the supporting acts on Rapp's Snow Hard Feelings Tour throughout the past several months."

"The 'Not My Fault' artist's relationship with the singer-songwriter, 23, comes after she was dating TikToker Alissa Carrington for nearly a year, though they kept the nature of their relationship very private," People Mag added.
