Watch: Brit Talk Show Host Fluffs Meaning of 'Fluffer' in Interview with Out 'Bridgerton' Star Jonathan Bailey
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
British talk show host Lorraine Kelly made a hilarious fluff involving the meaning of the term 'fluffer' this week that left everyone laughing.
During an interview with "Bridgerton" star Jonathan Bailey, she asked about a pic of him being prepared for a risque scene from the trending Netflix series in which a makeup artist is working on his bare bottom.
"Now that's got to be one of the best jobs in the world," Lorraine observed. "That's a wee lady who is, I think they call it fluffing? Is that what they do?"
"In the porn industry," the Independent writes in reporting on the incident, "a 'fluffer' is the name given to a person who is responsible for helping on-screen performers maintain an erection between takes."
"Well I don't know what they call it, Lorraine," Bailey responded. "I think it's called ice-breaking, isn't it?"
She later laughingly admitted her mistake in an interview with with showbiz correspondent Ross King, the Metro reports. "You know I was talking to the lovely Jonathan from Bridgerton and I said, you know when he was getting his bottom made up, I said, "is that a fluffer?" and I've just realised what a fluffer is and it's not that,' she said.
Ross responded: "Well done. I didn't want to point that one out. It's close-ish, but it's definitely something different."
"My phone is going nuts!" Lorraine responded laughing. "Oh jheeze, I'm sorry."
