New York is cautiously reopening with the second phase of guidelines that includes offices, in-store retail, outdoor dining, beauty parlors and barbers, motor vehicle transactions and commercial building management, as well as retail rental, repair and cleaning. Of course, these will be with limited capacity and mask wearing.
But what about a sex club?
A group called New Society For Wellness (NSFW) plans on reopening its Soho site and is rolling out "an assortment of new rules and regulations that take the risk out of risqu�,"
"We had to figure out how to do this in the safest way possible, where no one feels at risk or in danger, but can still enjoy themselves," NSFW founder Daniel Saynt told the Post. (Saynt" s="" official="" title="" is="" "chief="" conspirator"="" of="" the="" club.) Earlier this month the city of New York , which included this advice about group sex: "Large gatherings of any type are not safe during COVID-19. Close contact with multiple people should be avoided." But if you do decide to have sex with a number of people at once, stay with a consistent sex partner; wear a mask; avoid kissing, do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands; have an alcohol-based hand sanitizer; and choose a large, open, ventilated space."
Saynt told the Post that there will be additional guidelines as well that NSFW is adding. These include mandatory temperature-checks at the door, bringing a separate change of clean clothes in a plastic bag, wearing a mask (NSFW has their own branded version) and gloves, using sanitation stations throughout the space, and of course, "no new sex," which means you can't hook up with anyone besides the partner you came with.
"We have enough room to give each other space, so we're asking members to engage in a 'no new play' policy, which means come and play with a partner and experience NSFW for the exhibitionist and voyeuristic sides of it," says told the Post of the 3,000-square-foot clubhouse the group uses for sex parties. "Throughout the clubhouse, there's additional hand sanitizer and toy cleaners at sanitization stations."
"In order to adhere to social-distancing policy, the cannabis-positive club is only allowing 20 members to attend in-person, which is 10% of the space's capacity," adds the Post.
"We're keeping the cap nice and low, at least until we get to Phase Three," Saynt adds.
