Ross Mathews to Host Los Angeles Weekly Drag Brunch
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Starting on September 22, 2018, internationally recognized TV host & personality Ross Mathews presents a weekly brunch event in Los Feliz, specially curated and featuring top drag queens from "RuPaul's Drag Race" in a fabulously unique interactive event to rival all other L.A. brunches: Rockwell Table & Stage.
Hot off the heels of "RuPaul's Drag Race" 's four Emmy wins, hosting the 2018 Miss America Pageant, and being named America's Favorite on "Celebrity Big Brother," Ross Mathews brings his bubbly charm and charisma to the Rockwell stage, where he will preside over the festivities, wrangling the queens and entertaining audiences as they sip on Rockwell's expertly crafted cocktails and, of course, mimosas.
"I make a living judging drag queens, and now I want to give back by putting them to work, using champagne to lure in my favorite queens," says Matthews. "I want to create the brunch that I would want to go to -- and to share it with all of my friends and fans from L.A. and around the globe!"
Guests who purchase a full-price ticket to the weekly bubbly brunch extravaganza will receive a mimosa as soon as they step in the door. That liquid courage may come in handy for guests looking to feel their fantasy, as the show will feature a "lip sync for your drink" contest, in which guests will take on the iconic "lip sync for your life" challenge and duke it out for a free cocktail.
Rockwell Table & Stage is co-owned by Chef Wayne Elias and Chris Diamond, who are also the founders of Crumble Catering, and are most known for catering the Elton John AIDS Foundation's annual Oscar party. The venue is also the home of the popular "UMPO" (Unauthorized Musical Parodies Of...) series, currently in its production of "Bridesmaids," based on the hit film starring Kristen Wiig.
Mathews currently lives in Los Angeles with his rescue dogs. He also has a house in Palm Springs that he frequents on the weekends. When not working on his many projects, Mathews is a strong supporter of GLAAD, which presented him with their prestigious Davidson/Valentino Award in 2018, and he is a regular speaker and host at many of their nationwide events.
