Broadway Sings Cast Members to Headline Closing of LIGLFF

For the second year in a role, Broadway cast members from Jersey Boys, The Lion King, etc. and non for profit group Broadway Sings for Pride alum (www.BroadwaySingsforPride.com) will headline the closing night of the 16th Annual Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on the evening of Monday, November 11, 2013.

Audiences can expect to hear live musical performances from Broadway's best! The festival brings the best in LGBT Film to the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington. With feature films, documentaries, and short film programs, the festival will again be the largest LGBT art event on Long Island! The 16th Annual Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival runs from Friday November 8th to Monday November 11th.

Among the Broadway Sings for Pride alum scheduled to appear: Russell Fischer (Broadway's Jersey Boys), Chondra L. Profit (Disney's The Lion King on Broadway), Matt Leisy (Off Broadway's The Fantasticks), Rachel Lorin (pop singer recording artist and star of the Oxygen Networks "The Next Big Thing"), and Noreen Crayton (Gospel recording artist, Rent National Tour).

The 2013 schedule provides the best films from local filmmakers and international entries. Each movie is an elaborate event, catered by Long Island's finest restaurants and performances by local music talent and some of Broadway's brightest stars.

Entertainment will be presented by NealB.TV (www.NealB.tv) and Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BroadwaySingsforPride.com). Broadway Sings for Pride is a recent nominee for "Most Valuable Campaign" from the New Organizing Institute.
