Steven Soderbergh is back in the director's chair for the upcoming third and final "Magic Mike" movie — and Channing Tatum is in co-star Salma Hayek Punault's lap for one of the film's steamy scenes. Hayek Pinault told Jimmy Kimmel about the hot dance moment.

Hayek Pinault plays a prominent role in the upcoming third and final installment in the trilogy. The star and Kimmel chatted about the lap dance after Kimmel showed a brief clip in which Tatum lifts his shirt, places her hand on his chest and belly, then slides her hand down to his belt buckle. Thrusting his pelvis toward her as she continues to grip his belt, Tatum climbs into Hayek Pinault's lap and continues to thrust against her.

"And that's just the beginning," Hayek Pinault said when the short clip ended.

Kimmel was as enthusiastic as the cheering audience. "I wish I could show the whole five minutes," he said. "He's Channing all over your Tatum," Kimmel went on to add. "That had to be somewhat exciting — right?"

"Yeah, somewhat," Hayek Pinault agreed, eliciting a laugh.

The moment is featured in the film's trailer, which contextualizes the moment with Hayek Pinault's character asking Mike if he likes being a bartender. When Mike replies that pouring drinks "isn't really what I do," she asks him to explain — so he demonstrates his erotic dance skill set.

But Hayek Pinault told Kimmel that the audacious moves included a "dangerous" moment that didn't make it to the final film. In a hair-raising moment during a rehearsal for the scene, Hayek Pinault nearly slipped through Channing's grasp — which, if it had happened, would have meant her landing on her head, with potentially serious consequences.

Hayek Pinault described being "upside down, and my legs had to be somewhere."

She went on to recount, "He held on to my pants, but I was really concerned because my pants were going away, and I couldn't remember if I had underwear or not!"

As a result, "Instead of putting my hands to protect my head, I still held on to the pants!" Hayek Pinault narrated. "And he's like, 'Put your hands out!'" as she mimed Tatum bear-hugging her legs to stop her from falling. "'Put your hands out!'" Her response to him: "'No, no, no!'"

"'Hold onto my legs!'" Hayek Pinault recalled Tatum instructing her as he struggle to keep her from slipping from his grasp. Again, her response was: "'No, no, no!'"

Finally, the actor explained, "everybody came in and kind of took me away from him. And he said, 'What's wrong with you?' And I said, 'What's wrong with me? You nearly killed me!'"

"Magic Mike's Last Dance" comes to theaters Feb. 10.
