Zombieland

Zombieland takes place in a world where a zombie apocalypse was created when mad cow disease became mad human disease and then mutated. The movie starts with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), who gives his rules on how to survive; being that he is only one of a handful of survivors, his tips are best to be heeded. Columbus is headed to Columbus, Ohio to see if his parents are still alive. Along the way, he meets Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), who is on a quest to find Twinkies. It's Tallahassee's idea to refer to each other by their place of birth, rather than their real names.

After searching a grocery store, the two come across sisters Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who con them into giving them their weapons and then steal their hummer. The guys catch up with the girls, at which point they agree to travel together: Wichita promised Little Rock she'd take her to Pacific Playland in Los Angeles, which is an amusement park that's rumored to be zombie-free.

The movie is more of a comedy than horror film, and is very funny with just the right number of scary moments.

Along the way they travel the U.S., taking out zombies and meet Bill Murray in a hilarious cameo. The movie is more of a comedy than horror film, and is very funny with just the right number of scary moments. If you liked Shaun of The Dead, this movie is right up your alley.

Zombieland's DVD release has some good extras: there's a fun commentary with actors Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg, director Ruben Fleischer, and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The commentary talks about all aspects of the film, which everyone involved really enjoyed making. There are also deleted scenes, two making-of featurettes, and more. Based on the success of the movie, there will be a sequel--maybe then we'll learn the real names of the characters.

Special Features include:
- Audio commentary
- Making-of featurettes
- Deleted scenes
