PopUps: Ryan Murphy Says the New Season of 'AHS' Will be About 2016 Election
"American Horror Story: Attack of President Agent Orange"?
The 2016 presidential election was a scary time for a lot of people, thanks to its sardonic twist ending, which saw Donald Trump become the 45th president of the United States.
"AHS" showrunner Ryan Murphy stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" and spilled the tea about the upcoming seventh season of the FX anthology series, saying it will be based on the horrors of the 2016 election.
Murphy said he doesn't have a title of the installment but "the season that we began shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through."
"So, I think that'll be interesting for a lot of people," the producer told a very surprised Andy Cohen.
"Wow," the host said. "Will there be, like, a Trump in it?"
"Uh, maybe," Murphy replied.
In other Murphyverse news: "American Crime Story" Season 4 (yes, Season 4) will take on the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal and that Sarah Paulson has already been cast. He didn't reveal much more but said the actress would not be playing Hillary Clinton.
Maybe Paulson, a mainstay of Murphy's show, will take on the role for "AHS" Season 7!
